3. Eligibility

By using LondonCardSociety, you confirm that:

• You meet the minimum age requirement
• You have the capacity to agree to these Terms
• The details you provide are accurate and not misleading
• You will use the Platform only for lawful recreational and social purposes
• You will comply with these Terms and applicable requirements

4. Account Registration and Security

6. Virtual Currency

LondonCardSociety may provide virtual currency for use within selected Platform features.

Virtual currency:

• Is a digital feature of the Platform experience
• May be used only within functions made available by LondonCardSociety
• Has no financial value
• Cannot be sold, transferred, exchanged, redeemed, or converted into any item, service, or benefit of value
• Does not represent property or an asset belonging to a member
• May be adjusted, reset, removed, limited, or discontinued as part of feature updates, maintenance, security measures, account administration, or enforcement of these Terms

Virtual currency is intended only to support recreational interaction, progress, and member engagement within the Platform.

7. Community Standards

We want LondonCardSociety to be welcoming, enjoyable, and respectful.

When using community or communication features, you must not:

• Bully, threaten, harass, insult, or intimidate another person
• Share hateful, discriminatory, sexually explicit, violent, deceptive, or unlawful content
• Publish another person's private information without permission
• Send repetitive, disruptive, or unwanted messages
• Pretend to be another person or organisation
• Encourage conduct that creates risk or harm to others
• Disrupt conversations, groups, rankings, or recreational activities

• Take advantage of technical faults or attempt to conceal misuse
• Interfere with the operation, accessibility, stability, or security of the Platform
• Use Platform content for unauthorised commercial purposes

9. Member Content

The Platform may allow you to submit an avatar, username, profile information, message, comment, reaction, feedback, or other material ("Member Content").

You remain responsible for Member Content you submit.

By providing Member Content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, display, format, moderate, and use that content only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, administer, improve, and present the Platform and its community features.

You confirm that your Member Content:

• Is created by you or used with appropriate permission
• Does not infringe intellectual property, privacy, confidentiality, or other rights
• Does not breach these Terms
• Does not contain harmful or unlawful material

We may remove or restrict Member Content where we reasonably consider it inconsistent with these Terms or harmful to the Platform or its community.

10. Platform Intellectual Property

All rights in the Platform, including its name, branding, layout, visual elements, text, software, graphics, interface, features, databases, and original content, belong to us or our licensors unless otherwise stated.

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, revocable, non-transferable permission to access and use the Platform for recreational and social purposes.

You must not copy, adapt, distribute, license, sell, publish, reproduce, reverse engineer, or commercially exploit any protected part of the Platform unless expressly permitted in writing or allowed by applicable law.

11. Feature Availability and Updates

We work to maintain an enjoyable and reliable Platform. However, features may change over time.

• Add, update, replace, suspend, or withdraw Platform features
• Modify virtual currency functions, achievements, rankings, or community tools

We do not guarantee that every feature will remain available permanently or operate without interruption.

12. Moderation, Suspension, and Account Closure

We may warn, restrict, suspend, or close an account where we reasonably believe that:

• Community standards have been seriously or repeatedly violated

Where appropriate, we may also remove Member Content or limit access to specific features.

When an account is closed, access to associated features, progress records, and virtual currency may end.

• Every feature will remain unchanged
• Member Content will always be accurate, suitable, or available
• Technical issues will never arise
• Every interaction between members will meet individual expectations

Nothing in these Terms limits any right or protection that cannot lawfully be limited.

15. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from access to or use of the Platform.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where exclusion or limitation is not permitted by law, including liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or death or personal injury caused by negligence.
